VALLEY PARK, Mo. — An eagle that captured the hearts of countless people has died after severe storms and tornadoes swept through Missouri on Friday.
Murphy, a rescued eagle at the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, was found dead within his aviary in the early morning of March 15. He died at the age of 33, far surpassing the typical lifespan of Bald Eagles of 20-25 years.
