A United Airlines passenger has filed a lawsuit after alleging he was aggressively removed from a plane’s restroom by the pilot for taking too long due to constipation.
Yisroel Liebb, from New Jersey, was on a flight from Tulum, Mexico, to Houston when he says he spent around 20 minutes in the bathroom. His travel companion, Jacob Sebbag, was reportedly woken up by a crew member and asked to check on him. Liebb reassured Sebbag that he was simply dealing with constipation and would be out shortly.
However, 10 minutes later, the situation escalated when the pilot allegedly demanded he exit the bathroom immediately. Liebb claims he was forced out of the toilet with his pants still down and humiliated in front of other passengers.
Upon landing, he and Sebbag were reportedly removed from the plane in handcuffs, escorted through the terminal, and placed in a holding cell—causing them to miss their connecting flight.
Liebb filed his lawsuit on March 19, arguing that United Airlines subjected him to unnecessary humiliation and wrongful detainment. United Airlines has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
