A group of old women has gone viral after voluntarily cleaning up a neglected children’s playground in their neighborhood.
The heartwarming scene unfolded in a small town where years of neglect had left the playground covered in litter and overgrown weeds. Instead of waiting for local authorities to step in, these senior citizens armed themselves with brooms, trash bags, and gardening tools to restore the space for local children.
One of the women, 72-year-old Margaret, said: “We used to bring our kids here. Now, we want today’s children to have the same joy we did.”
The community quickly took notice, with passersby stopping to thank them and some even joining in. A local café later treated the women to free coffee as a token of appreciation.
