Lily Stewart, the University of Georgia student whose glamorous mugshot went viral, has been arrested again—just weeks after her initial brush with the law.
The 20-year-old first gained internet fame after her smiling mugshot circulated online following a speeding-related arrest. Social media users dubbed her ‘Miss America’ and flooded her with playful comments, joking about her flawless booking photo.
However, Stewart has now found herself back in front of the jail camera. According to reports, she was arrested on Sunday, March 23, by campus police at around 5:30 AM on charges of obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling. Both charges are misdemeanors, and she was released later that morning after posting a $4,600 bond.
Once again, Stewart posed with a confident grin in her second mugshot, this time wearing prison overalls. The images, obtained by TMZ, have reignited the internet’s obsession with her arrest saga.
Since her first mugshot went viral, Stewart has been engaging with social media, sharing some of her favorite fan comments. Many jokes centered around her original speeding charge, with users suggesting she was racing for a pumpkin spice latte or rushing to a Lululemon sale. Others teased that she was only guilty of ‘stealing hearts.’

Despite the internet’s lighthearted response, Stewart’s attorney has spoken out, confirming that the initial speeding charge was dropped. The student has also addressed the overwhelming attention, revealing that she has received hundreds of messages from strangers—including ‘creepy men’ offering to pay her bail.
“I think it’s hilarious,” Stewart told The New York Post. “I don’t know what all the hype is about. I just took a mugshot and went on with my day.”
With her latest arrest making headlines, it seems Lily Stewart’s viral mugshot moment isn’t over just yet.
